For Rising 1st thru rising 5th graders
July 23-27 (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm)

Welcome to the most fun you'll ever have in one week! Through professional training in acting, movement, and singing, each camper will gain the ability to conquer "stage fright" while building their self-esteem. Leadership includes the director Kevin Jones and his talented, professional team from KJPAS and Camp Bethel's excellent counselors. Daily check-in is from 8:00-8:45am and check-out is from 4:00-4:45pm. For $25, daily van transportation is available from the Cave Spring High School parking lot with pick up at 8:00am and drop off at 5:00pm (no Friday drop-off due to performance). Each day includes professional training, practice, rehearsal, a delicious lunch in camp's Ark Dining Hall, afternoon snack, and swimming in the camp pool. Daily special activities include a Monday wagon ride and group initiatives, Tuesday hike to the Big Oak, Wednesday creek play and face painting, and Thursday group games. This camp provides a taste of acting and musical theatre performance as we stage and choreograph show-stopping numbers from the Golden Age of Broadway to be performed in a public showcase performance on Friday, July 27, 7:00pm at Camp Bethel's Hillside Auditorium. On Friday, pick up is at 7:30pm after our 5:20pm closing family dinner celebration (free for all campers and their families) and our 7:00pm performance. 

All campers receive a professional headshot and will go home with their own 8 x 10 professional acting photograph! Every camper will also receive a FREE KJPAS Camp Tee Shirt and a FREE DVD of their camp showcase performance! Learn more about Camp Bethel at www.campbethelvirginia.org.
