2012 KJPAS High School Performing Arts Resident Camp
For Rising 9th thru Graduating 12th Graders
August 5-10 (Sunday 4pm thru Friday 8:15pm)
Join us for a perfect mix of fun overnight summer camping and professional training in acting, singing and dancing! Leadership includes the director Kevin Jones and his talented, professional team from KJPAS and Camp Bethel's excellent counselors. In this confidence-building camp, we will stage and choreograph show-stopping numbers from the Golden Age of Broadway and scenes from Broadway's funniest plays by playwright, Ken Ludwig. By staging a showcase performance, we are able to feature every camper in the final performance for the public. You must choose acting or musical theater as your major course of study to be cast in either acting scenes or musical theatre songs for the final showcase performance on Friday August 10, 7:00pm at Camp Bethel's Hillside Auditorium. You will live with your friends in comfortable, modern cabins with a bathhouse next door. Each day includes intense, professional workshops and rehearsal time, delicious meals in camp's Ark Dining Hall, afternoon pool time, group games and nightly campfires, all within the beauty of Camp Bethel's 470 acre natural playground. Evening special activities include a Sunday wagon ride, Monday all-camp game, Tuesday group initiatives, Wednesday lock-in/slumber party, Thursday all-camp skit night, and Friday Splash Festival. On Friday, dismissal is at 8:15pm after our 5:20pm closing family dinner celebration (free for all campers and their families) and our 7:00pm performance.
