Meet The Team

Andrea Boone
Choreographer and Director
Andrea earned her Bachelor of Science in Dance Education with a minor in Business Administration from Radford University, where she also received the College of Visual and Performing Arts Outstanding Graduating Senior Award from the Department of Dance. Credits at Radford include seasonal fall and spring performances as well as Sounds of Stories Dancing, Eating Appalachia: Selling Out to the Hungry Ghost, and The Nutcracker. She has taught for Radford University Ballet Youth, Giles County School of Dance, and is in her 12th year teaching at Linda Watkins School of Dance. A lover of modern dance, Andrea performed with City Modern Ensemble of Roanoke Ballet Theatre for seven years. She choreographed Oliver! for North Cross School of Roanoke, VA and also assistant directed/choreographed their productions of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Oklahoma!, and Aida. Additionally, Andrea served as choreographer for Kevin Jones Performing Arts Studio's production of Broadway Jukebox Musicals and Broadway Goes Hollywood, as well as numerous Summer and Winter Performing Arts Camps. She is thrilled to be back with KJPAS this winter!
Andrea is the Media & Communications Specialist at Second Presbyterian Church in Roanoke, VA. Her favorite production though,is being mother to her three-year-old son.

Grayson Skidmore
Choreographer and Director
Grayson is ecstatic to be returning for another KJPAS intensive! She is a junior musical theater major with a minor in dance at Winthrop University. Some of her other Winthrop credits include Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Marcy in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Love in Everybody, and Watchman 1 in Antigone. She has known Kevin since she was ten, and is so grateful for the opportunity to go from a student and camper, to a choreographer and counselor. She has attended five intensives as a student, and is now returning for her third as a choreographer. She is so excited to be coming back for WICKED camp (she attended the first one at KJPAS when she was twelve years old), and can’t wait to work with the most dedicated group of students she knows!

Melia Jones
Choreographer and Director
Melia's many performing credits include Mamma Mia, A Chorus Line, Evita, Phantom, The King and I, State Fair, Mame, and My Fair Lady. Melia has filmed many commercials and training videos over the years. She is also a professional scenic artist and costumer. Most recently, Melia served as an adjunct professor of technical theater at McPherson College.

Kevin Jones
Artistic Director and Musical Director
2026 will mark Kevin's 27th year of offering professional level training opportunities to students around the country. Kevin's credits include the 1st and 4th national tours of Beauty and the Beast, the European tour of Annie Get Your Gun, the Asian tour of Annie, three productions of Evita and two of Phantom. In 2023 he served as the musical supervisor of the Oceania Marina cruise ship and sailed to both ends of the world (around South America and down to Antarctica; and past Denmark, Sweden and Norway to above the Arctic Circle). And in 2025, Kevin served as the musical supervisor of the Regent Seven Seas Mariner cruise ship and sailed around Australia and Indonesia.
