KJPAS offers a professional training program live-and-in-person in McPherson, Kansas, or from anywhere in the world via FaceTime for children, teens and adults that fully prepares each student for professional theatre and/or college auditions. The curriculum is individualized for each student and may include: vocal technique, song analysis, monologue work, cold-reading techniques for audition call-backs, character development, audition techniques (including how to self-tape), sight-singing and ear training, harmonization, music theory, musical theatre history, the business of acting, acting for film and television, improvisation, headshot and resume development, and a study of the great method acting teachers. The student success rate is exceptional. Many have gone on to perform in Broadway shows, national tours, film & television, and regional theatre productions. Others are now studying at the top theatre schools in the country.
