2022 Winter Intensive

Dear Performing Arts Student and Parents,

Registration for the KJPAS 2022 Winter Intensive is now open! Get ready to go back to the "Golden Age" of Broadway  as our showcase theme will be Broadway Schmigadoon! That's right, you will be performing the best production numbers from the Apple TV+ limited musical series, Schmigadoon! The series was filled with brand new Broadway songs based off of classics from Oklahoma, The Music Man, Carousel and more! If you're a tapper, be sure to break out those tap shoes! And no worries if you are not, because we've got blockbuster numbers for you to perform as well! 

I want to assure you that KJPAS will continue to employ extraordinary standards when it comes to keeping our students safe and healthy. All Covid protocols will be determined closer to the weekend, and parents will be updated in the welcome packet.

KJPAS employs a professional faculty of performers, many who have multiple Broadway and national touring credits, as well as film and television credits. If you are looking for a well-rounded, professional training program, look no further! 

KJPAS Winter Intensive 2022 will take place from 4:45pm, Friday, January 14th thru 4pm, Sunday, January 16th. The showcase performance will begin at 3pm on Sunday, January 16th. We will once again be running our Intensive out of the Smith Mountain Lake 4-H Conference Center, right on the shore of beautiful Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia.

Students will be housed in dormitory and hotel-style lodging. The lodges are located next to the Central Activities Building which houses our indoor rehearsal and performance space, as well as the dining hall. Three delicous meals and plenty of snacks will be provided each day. KJPAS proudly caters to all dietary restrictions. 

Tuition includes housing, all meals and snacks, an Intensive t-shirt, a link to download the showcase performance, and of course, the professional training and performance that you have come to expect from KJPAS! 

KJPAS Winter Intensive is open to 5th thru 12th graders. Winter Intensive Tuition: $250 submitted on or before December 20th; $300 December 21st or later. (Please note, all credit/debit card processing fees are  included in your tuition!).
